How Edge works
Edge lets you copy a basket of tokens with an agent that trades it for you. Anyone can build and publish a basket; anyone can copy one. This page says what happens to your money at each step, what you sign, what each fee is and when it is charged, and what can go wrong.
How copying a basket works
- Pick a basket. Edge lists its own baskets and the ones the community publishes, on Base, Robinhood Chain, Solana. A cross-chain basket holds a leg on each of its chains.
- Set a budget and your limits. The budget is the most the agent may put to work. On Base and Robinhood Chain you can also set a stop-loss (between 20 and 90 percent down) and a take-profit (between 25 and 500 percent up). The policy also carries caps on how much of the budget one token may take and how much of the basket one rebalance may rotate.
- Edge creates an agent wallet for this copy. Your wallet signs a request to create it. Edge generates the agent's key on the server and stores it encrypted; you never see or hold it.
- You sign the mandate (Base and Robinhood Chain). See below for exactly what it contains.
- You fund it with one transfer from your own wallet, or by bridging from another chain. You pay the network fee on the transfer that funds it; after that Edge covers the agent's gas from its own tank, whenever the tank is funded.
- The agent trades. It buys the basket and keeps it in line: an agent copying a published basket mirrors that basket's tokens when its creator or its theme changes them; one running a basket of its own rebalances on the schedule you chose. It never needs another signature from you.
- You exit when you want. Exit sells the holdings and sends the proceeds to your own wallet. A Solana leg's proceeds are bridged back to your wallet on Base.
What you sign
On Base and Robinhood Chain the agent is activated by a typed signature (EIP-712) in your own wallet, titled Edge Agent Mandate, for that chain. Your wallet shows each field before you sign:
- owner: your wallet address, the only address Exit sends money to.
- agent: the agent wallet the mandate applies to.
- mode: whether the agent manages on its own (auto) or acts only when you tell it to.
- reshuffleHours: how often it rebalances.
- stopLossSet and stopLossPct, takeProfitSet and takeProfitPct: your exit rules, each with a flag saying whether it is on.
- perTokenCapBps and turnoverCapBps: the most of the budget one token may hold and the most of the basket one rebalance may rotate, in basis points.
- budgetUnlimited and budgetUsd: the budget.
- issuedAt: when you signed it. It must reach Edge within 30 minutes.
Edge's engine is held to exactly the policy in that signature. The mandate is a permission you give Edge's engine, checked on Edge's server; it is not a smart contract that holds your funds.
Solana: no signed mandate
A Solana leg has no signed mandate. On Base and Robinhood Chain you sign a mandate in your own wallet that sets the agent's limits; Solana has no equivalent here. Edge creates the Solana wallet and holds its key, your signed request to create it is the consent, and what bounds it is the money you bridge in plus the budget, per-token and turnover caps Edge's engine applies. Stop-loss and take-profit are not run on a Solana leg.
A Solana basket (or the Solana leg of a cross-chain basket) is created with your signed request and funded by bridging USDC into it. Exit sells through Jupiter and bridges the USDC to your own wallet on Base.
Connect an app or agent
- You can let an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT and others that support MCP), a chat integration (Telegram or X, for example), or your own script connect to Edge. You approve it once, in your own wallet, on an Edge page.
- In this release, connected apps can read your account (baskets, agents, operations and the permission you gave). If you allow it, an app can also publish baskets, change the tokens in all your baskets, reshuffle them and claim your creator earnings, which are always paid to your own wallet. Anyone copying your baskets still gets 24 hours' notice before a change takes effect. Apps cannot start agents, exit agents or move money anywhere else.
- When you approve, you choose what the app may do and its limits: the most it may put into one agent and in total, how many agents, the stop-loss it must use, and when the permission expires (at most 30 days). Limits for actions that are not yet available are recorded now and enforced by Edge once those actions arrive.
- Edge never takes money from your wallet on an app's behalf. When starting agents becomes available, an app will show you a payment request and you will send the funds yourself. While an agent wallet is funded, Edge holds its key, as it does for agents you start in the app.
- When exiting through an app becomes available, exits will always pay out to your own wallet, whoever asks for them.
- You can see and revoke every connection on the Connected agents page. A revoked app is cut off within 30 seconds. Agents you have running keep running inside your limits until you exit them.
For developers: the MCP server is at https://edge.polytrade.app/mcp, the HTTP API at https://edge.polytrade.app/api/v1 (OpenAPI document at /api/v1/openapi.json). Both use OAuth 2.1 with PKCE; chat integrations without a browser use device login at https://edge.polytrade.app/link. The MCP tools in this release read your account and, with the creator permission, publish and change your baskets and claim your earnings to your own wallet, and JSON-RPC batch requests to /mcp are refused.

Fees
These are the rates this deployment charges right now, read from its configuration when this page loads. Fees are taken inside the agent's trades or at exit; you are never billed separately.
A basket on Base or Robinhood Chain
A Solana basket
A cross-chain basket
Paid out of Edge's side, never added to your cost: 50% of a performance fee that is struck goes to the basket's creator (not on an Edge basket, and not when you exit a basket you published); the creator's sharing fee, at most 0.12% of your trading volume, comes out of the swap fee; if someone referred you, they are credited 0.10% of the new money your agent puts to work, once per dollar.
A swap that Edge has to route through its fallback aggregator (LI.FI) carries no swap fee. The network fees for the agent's own trades are covered by Edge while its gas tank is funded; you pay the network fee on the transfer that funds the agent.
If you publish a basket
- Sharing fee. You choose 0 to 0.12% of the volume your copiers trade. It is paid out of the 0.30% swap fee they already pay, never more than that fee on any trade, so it costs them nothing extra.
- Performance fee share. 50% of the 10% performance fee struck when someone else exits your basket above what they funded. Nothing when they exit at a loss, nothing when you exit your own basket.
- Referrals. 0.10% of the new money the people you refer put to work, counted once per dollar, paid by the platform and never added to their cost.
Balances are settled in USDG from the platform wallet; there is no claim step. None of this is a promise of income: nothing accrues unless someone copies and trades, and the rates are set by the platform and can change.
Risks
- You can lose everything you put in. Tokens, memecoins and tokenized stocks are volatile, and a basket spreads risk without removing it.
- Custody. Edge holds the key to your agent wallet. If Edge's systems fail or are compromised, the money in agent wallets is at risk.
- Execution. Trades fill at market prices with a slippage limit. A thin market can move against you, a rebalance can fail, and a token can become impossible to sell.
- Stop-loss and take-profit are narrower than they sound. They act per token, not on the whole basket: a token that reaches your take-profit, or stays below your stop-loss for a sustained period, is sold back to cash inside the agent wallet (not sent to you). They run for every agent on Base or Robinhood Chain in auto mode, including one copying a published basket; a Solana leg has neither, and a position you drive yourself (manual) is never sold for you. When you copy a basket, a take-profit banks the gain and the agent later rebuys the token at the basket's weight; a stop-loss keeps that token out of your copy until the creator changes the basket, and its cash goes to the basket's other tokens. They are checked on a schedule, so a fast move can go past your level before the agent acts. Exit is how you take money out.
- Bridges and contracts. Funding and exits can cross chains through third-party bridges (LI.FI, Mayan, Circle CCTP) and trade through third-party routers (Uniswap, Jupiter). Each carries its own risk of delay or loss.
- Creators. A basket's creator can change a managed basket (with a 24-hour delay for copiers). Edge screens tokens for liquidity, but that screen drops markets with no liquidity, no traded volume and no history. It is not rug detection, and it is not a verdict that a token is safe.
- Gas sponsorship can stop. When Edge's gas tank is empty the agent cannot trade until it is refilled.
FAQ
Who holds my money?
An agent wallet that Edge creates for your copy and runs for you. Edge holds its key, encrypted on the server. It is custodial: you are trusting Edge to run it inside your limits and to send the money back when you exit.
Can I take my money out?
Yes, at any time. Exit sells what the agent holds and sends the proceeds to your own wallet. A token that cannot be sold at that moment stays in the agent wallet, Portfolio shows it, and pressing Exit again retries the sale.
Do I sign every trade?
No. On Base and Robinhood Chain you sign one mandate that sets the agent's limits, and the agent trades inside them without asking again. The signed mandate has to reach Edge within 30 minutes of signing, or it is refused and you sign a fresh one.
What is the smallest amount I can fund?
$5 for a single-chain basket. A cross-chain basket has its own minimum, shown on its funding screen, because every leg has to be large enough to trade.
Who picks the tokens?
The basket's creator, or the basket's theme for an automatic one, from tokens that passed Edge's liquidity screen. That screen drops markets with no liquidity, no traded volume and no history. It is not rug detection, and it is not a verdict that a token is safe.
Can a creator change a basket I copied?
A creator can edit a managed basket. The change reaches copiers 24 hours later (at once if nobody has copied it yet), so you can see it coming and exit first if you want.
Is this investment advice?
No. A basket is not a managed fund, Edge does not tell you what to buy, and past returns shown on a card are not a forecast.
